During the festival, there will be english / spanish translation if needed.
“There is a vital force, an energy that translates itself into action through you, and as there will only ever be one and only you, this expression is unique and, if you block it, it will never
exist through any other medium and it will get lost”. Martha Graham
With / sense movement is about that movement that makes you unique, that belongs to you, that is deeply felt and makes sense because it belongs to you, is who you are, and what you
have in order to relate with yourself and with others.
In this workshop, we’ll approach waking up the body in all its dimensions through breathing, muscle mobilisation, and body awareness in action, in constant inner/outer relationship within
your own space and the space you share with others.
Marha Echavarria is a Performing Arts teacher and professional contemporary dancer. She also holds a degree in Aesthetics, with an emphasis on Performing Art, and a Masters in Dance
Movement Therapy, and is also a Hatha yoga teacher and practitioner.
For many years, Marha has been researching dance and movement in depth as a path towards spirituality, towards experiencing them as a journey and a dynamic and conscious meditative state.
5Rhythms® is a meditation practice based on the body’s natural wisdom and tendency towards consciousness and inner awareness.
It arises from the principle that life is dynamic and manifests itself in universal movement patterns. These patterns are the natural movement language we have when we come to this
world and are therefore the expression of our innate potential and our authentic nature.
The five rhythms - Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness - are energetic and movement qualities that facilitate the conscious journey through a variety of emotional, mental
and corporal states, as well as allowing an integral experience of Being, as well as an inner stillness from which we’re able to perceive reality with more consciousness.
5Rhythms® is a cycle, a vital energy process called “The Wave”, which consists of Flowing (grounding, receptivity); Staccatto (energisation action); Chaos (letting go, discharge), Lyrical
(liberation, expansion) and Stillness (emptying, integration).
Helena Barquilla was the first Spanish certified 5Rhythms® teacher. In her 12 years as a teacher, she’s taught throughout Spain in different environments and to different collectives.
Helena has integrated all these experiences into a very personal teaching style, based on observation of and respect for the group’s vital dynamics, responding simply to whatever needs may
spontaneously arise in present time.
A graduate in Anthropology, she has conducted research in healing and shamanism in South America. She’s trained in Gestalt therapy and bodywork (Shiatsu and Californian massage). She’s also a
yoga teacher (integral yoga) and a mindfulness instructor (MBTB mindfulness, based on Buddhist tradition). She studies and practices Zen meditation.

Deepdance is a body work and free dance proposal wherein the music leads the session in a specific musical wave. It’s a wonderful tool for inner work, in which we seek to integrate body, heart,
and mind, allowing them to dance all at once. Deepdance is a Dionysian dance ritual.
The music invites us on an emotional and energetic journey, a trip through different sensations and emotions that helps us to get in contact with our inner wisdom and relate to others in a
different way.
The rhythms are the rhythms of life, everything we do has these rhythms. Our creativity, our sex - these are the rhythms to ecstasy, the wave to ecstasy. Deepdance is best done blindfolded
(although this isn’t compulsory!) as a way of letting go and having a deeper experience.
Carol Villalón was born in Barcelona. She works as Gestalt therapist, art therapist and music therapist. She’s also a professional DJ and sculptress.
She’s being working in the field of personal growth since 2006 and is the founder of the method called “Deepdance”, which she’s been continuously developing in Barcelona and around Spain since
2010.
She works as a therapist with individual processes and facilitates personal development groups. She’s also a trainer in art therapy for prison staff, as well as in other contexts, such as the TCA
course, part of the European Erasmus+ music for development and consciousness programme.
Always focused on art, body movement, dance and music, she believes that those disciplines can be a true path for personal healing. She’s also experienced in bioenergetics and transpersonal
therapy (Holotropic Breathwork).
This is a laboratory/dance class, in which will transit in a meditative way from solo dance and free movement to partner dancing - with a jazz and blues beat!
We work with body isolations
(to unblock the body) and active connection (to connect with our centres).

Paco Salazar is a musician, Ecstatic Dance DJ, swing and blues teacher and body worker. In 2008, he stopped doing rock tours, which had become too toxic, and started dancing. From there on he began to heal himself and hasn't stopped training, learning and dancing ever since.
We’ll explore the breath in order to feel the inner space, to realize how it is movement and how it makes us present in our lives.
We’ll open up to the sensory and perceptual energy field of our bodies, finding the energy connections, the joints, the diaphragms...to aim for the improvisation movement and its origin, its
beat, its vibration, whatever it draws and describes in space, the flow of continuous movement, the gaze that projects us. A journey towards the truth of inner listening to become more
present in our lives and to enjoy the creative beings that we are.
Dancer, choreographer and teacher of theatre-dance, her relationship with dance has always arisen from inner seeking and listening to help the flow of creativity. She learned about the perception of the energy body and its movement from the Fedora Aberatury method, with Yiya Diaz and Julia Comesaña. Contemporary and theatre-dance performer, she has researched alongside many experimental musicians, plastic and visual artists. She has created many solo and group pieces, and she teaches for different collectives. She loves accompanying people to dance so that they can enjoy life!
Jordi will bring his djembe, shakers, cowbells, and claves, and by using his body language he’ll facilitate different dynamics, games and improvisations for us to communicate and listen to each other through percussion. There will be time for playing, for dancing and for silence.
Jordi Vinyoles is one of Spain's Drum Circle Facilitators (DCF) pioneers. He’s been facilitating percussion workshops for over 20 years and this particular Drum Circle format for the past six
years. He was trained in Barcelona by Arthur Hull and other disciples of this percussion circles guru.
Percussion circles are a great communication tool, which Jordi seeks to share throughout all possible spheres, from the very young to older people, in schools, centres, universities and
festivals. Everyone’s welcome to enjoy this experience!

Adventure! Stepping into the new.
Taking the first step into in a new situation can often be a daunting experience that takes courage and it often feels good to have support to feel safe and confident.
Nothing is lost, but simply “forgotten”, because often, to survive, we have to hide and suppress valuable parts of ourselves such as our sensitivity, power or curiosity and we forget that we are
already beautiful, wise and lovable as we are.
The good news is, in my experience, it’s completely possible with time and more practice,to re-integrate these parts into our everyday lives and then life starts to feel again like an “Adventure”
to be lived instead of a problem to be solved.
In his seminars, Sangeet creates safe spaces to help the participants explore and connect. Then they can gently support each other to come into contact with and express these parts in a deep and
playful way.
This compact process was specifically created as a first step to gently dissolve the layers that keep us from living our lives to the full. And in this workshop, we’ll be using conscious
movement, dance, meditation, some methods from 5Rhythms as a basis and also other valuable tools and resources that he’s gathered over many years, to support you to rediscover your self-love,
inner fire and peace, sensitivity and unique potential.
Sangeet is from the UK, but his home has often been in his own heart and in many different countries.
For more than 25 years he was very happy, contented and successful as a professional masseur, body worker and therapist and as a complete contrast spent 20 years also working as a
professional DJ.
For the last 40 years, he’s been continually and deeply moved and inspired by Osho.
He’s been fascinated with Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms for the last 24 years and was fortunate enough to have trained with her in the first and second levels and was authorised to
teach the work.
His other lover is Salsa and he’s been flirting, courting and dancing her for more than 30 years, having studied all three styles with teachers from South America and New York and, over the last
20 years, has developed and used his own, unique new approach: “Conscious Salsa”, which is a fiery, gentle and healing combination of many things that he’s learnt, especially about
connection, respect and relating.
He’s been continually working on himself for the last 35 years, studying many different methods and therapists, shamans, healers and teachers and has developed his own way of working, which
includes, and is a combination of, everything that has worked for his life, using things like: conscious movement, dance, therapy and trauma healing, bodywork, meditation among others.
The name of the work is called as Love Moves - Heart-based Solutions for a Whole New World.

Whirling is an ancient Sufi technique, where you whirl on the spot with your arms outstretched. This method goes very deep, taking the whirler out of the mind and into the very centre of her being. While your whole body is moving you suddenly become aware of a space inside of you that is unmoved. This is YOU.
'To know this unmoving centre is to know the very master key of all the mysteries of life.' Osho
Accompanied by musicians playing traditional Sufi music, Dhyana will share a space for you to learn and experience this ancient centring technique that helps the mind to relax, moving you
into a soft, silent and meditative place.
Dhyana Vargas (born in Colombia, based in Berlin) loves sharing her passion for meditation, movement and awareness. She became a certified meditation facilitator in Berlin as well as in Pune, India at the OSHO International Meditation Resort. Her fascination for Sufi whirling led her to practice it with the Sufi master Oruç Güvenc in Turkey.
Currently, Dhyana shares OSHO Meditations and OSHO meditative therapies, teaches Sufi whirling and offers Aquafloating sessions around the world. She is the creator of Whirling in Berlin, as well as OSHO Meditation
Colombia, and co-creator of the Conscious Dance Festival.
Pedro, born in Barcelona in 1964, is one of the most fervent interpreters of medieval and Moorish music under a very peculiar, singular and new perspective, something wild. In the 80s and 90s he led the group Claustrofobia, of avant-garde music, a reference point for all Spanish pop music with thousands of followers today. For the last 10 years, at the head of various groups, such as Medievalia Camerata or Nur Camerata, he has performed throughout Spain and in countries such as Turkey, Sudan or Algeria, re-interpreting the medieval tradition from a very contemporary and personal perspective, which is why he has received excellent reviews from a wide range of sources. He is a Muslim and a member of the Sufi tariqa Bouchichiyya. At Conscious Dance Festival he will perform his characteristic Sufi "quejío" accompanied by his own percussion and Robert Santamaría's qanun.
Robert is a remarkable performer of the qanun, the Turkish horizontal zither so characteristic of the Sufi world. With him and other instruments he has been part of several groups and has given concerts and workshops all over the peninsula. For the last two years he has also been a member of the Nur Camerata de Burruezo and with it he has performed in a great many festivals, theatres and events throughout Catalonia and Spain.
This is a festival for everyone. No previous dance experience is required. All bodies and levels are welcome.
